Uttarakhand CM Tirath Singh Rawat suddenly called to Delhi by BJP High Command

Uttarakhand CM Tirath Singh Rawat had to visit Delhi suddenly which has raised quite a couple of eyebrows. According to the ANI, Tirath Singh Rawat was called to Delhi by the BJP high command while he was scheduled to reach the national capital by today afternoon.

Tirath replaced Trivendra Singh Rawat at the CM’s office this year in March following the dissatisfaction of the party MLAs due to poor results. There were also Rawat’s absurd comments to blame as well.

The Uttarakhand CM was supposed to launch several government programs today related to the ministry of his cabinet minister Rekha Arya. However, the sudden call from the national capital has given rise to some political speculations. Also, the BJP also had a 3-day event in Uttarakhand to prepare the party’s strategy for the 2022 elections. There was no indication of resentment towards Tirath was seen.

Now, Tirath Singh Rawat is expected to hold a meeting with the top BJP leaders including party president JP Nadda and Home Minister Amit Shah. The meeting will be scheduled for today or tomorrow.

Since Tirath was made Chief Minister without being an MLA, he will have a lot to discuss with the party. He has till September 9 to be elected to the assembly. However, it is not clarified that from where exactly he will contest. The BJP high command is expected to take the final decision on this!
