It’s quite common to see people sharing their achievements and accomplishments on Facebook or Twitter, but they generally tend to get carried away and social media often turns out to be a place where a person can brag about their possessions and lifestyle and so on. Social media sites have become a mere platform to show-off.

Moreover, these sites prove to be fatal for some. Looking at some previous cases of extortion or humiliation, much of it can be blamed on social sites. Safety is largely compromised and it’s really difficult to maintain privacy about anything. Likes for hobbies and sports have changed to Likes on pictures and posts, and the more likes a person is able to fetch, the more he can brag.

Surprisingly, the main purpose of social media is lost and we are left with helpless addiction. The need of the hour is to cut short the average time spent on social media and to stop the taunt and flaunt that have plagued these sites.
