On Tuesday night, Mandira Bedi posted another heartfelt tribute to her late husband and filmmaker Raj Kaushal, who died of cardiac arrest earlier this month in Mumbai. He was 49 years old at the time. The actress posted a photo of a sheet of paper with his name scribbled on it. “Miss you Raji…” the actress captioned the photo while remembering her husband.
“Our Rajieeee…” commented actor Ashish Chowdhry, who was a close friend of the late filmmaker. Mouni Roy, Mandira Bedi’s dearest friend, left loving emojis on the comment. Actors Arjun Bijlani and Aashka Garodia felt the same way.
On Saturday, the filmmaker convened a prayer meeting at their home. Mandira Bedi’s close friend and actress Mouni Roy, Vidya Malavade, and actor Ashish Chowdhry’s wife Samita were among those who attended.
Mandira and Raj tied the knot in 1999. On June 17, 2011, the couple welcomed their first child, Vir. Tara, who is four years old, was adopted by the couple in July of last year. Raj Kaushal has directed films like Anthony Kaun Hai? (starring Arshad Warsi, Sanjay Dutt, and Minissha Lamba), Shaadi Ka Laddoo (also starring Mandira Bedi), and Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi. He also worked on the latter two films as a producer.
She had previously used Instagram to share a few images of her late spouse Raj Kaushal as she recalled him. The actor and her late spouse are seen smiling at the camera in the photographs. The caption only had a broken heart emoji. Mandira also tweeted a flashback photo of herself and Raj with the caption “Rip, my Raji” and a broken heart emoticon.
Mouni Roy, Mandira Bedi’s close friend, recently shared images from their get-together on social media. In the comments section, fans reacted as well. As one fan put it, “He’ll always be there to keep an eye on you and the kids. I do not have to tell you to be brave. You are a formidable woman.” “God bless you.. and give you all the strength you need to fight…” said another. Another person said, “You are a brave and strong soul, Mandira.” Another fan added, “@mandirabedi he is always present with you all the time, everywhere and I am sure you already know that.”
Mandira was seen on a morning walk in Mumbai with another lady last week. It was the first time she was photographed outside her house since her spouse died. Mandira had already replaced her Instagram profile picture with a black photo and posted her first post remembering Raj with a broken heart caption.
