The Indian cricket team will look make a confident start in the four-match series against England after a historic win in Australia. Virat Kohli is back in action and ready to take on the British side in the first Test, starting today, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
The series will consist four matches and the winner of the series be one of the finalists of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) as New Zealand has already qualified for the final.
Axar Patel was ruled out at the last moment due to a knee injury. However, Shahbaz Nadeem was there to replace him.
England has won the toss and elected to bat first. Virat Kohli would be looking forward to taking full advantage of the new wicket. Ishant Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah will be leading the Indian bowling attack.
